The Rhode Island Chapter of the Sierra Club
About the Sierra Club:Sierra Club members are 700,000 of your friends and neighbors. Inspired by nature, members work together to protect our communities and the planet. The Sierra Club is America’s oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization.
The Sierra Club operates at three levels: Sierra Club national, chapters (which are typically state-based), and local groups (into which large chapters are divided). The Sierra Club is a democratic organization and at each level, members elect volunteer leadership to guide the Club.
About the RI Chapter:The 2500 Sierra Club members that live in the Ocean State form the Rhode Island Chapter. The Rhode Island Chapter of the Sierra Club represents one of 64 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Read about some of our history here.
The RI Chapter Leadership consists of people giving some of their own time to make a difference. We encourage your involvement, beyond your active membership, in leading the effort to explore, enjoy, and protect our planet!
